How to distinguish natural from artificial leather.

 

Genuine leather is made from the skin of an animal, it carries the imperfections of each skin and therefore the pores are not the same in size and shape.

The texture of artificial leather products has the same pores.

 

When you press a leather product with your finger, you will see how tiny wrinkles appear.

 

This means that the leather is natural.

 

When you smell natural leather, you will see that it smells in a specific way.

Artificial leather smells like plastic.

 

When you turn the product over on its reverse side, you will see that the holes in the seams are not the same size and have small suede hairs.

This is also proof that the leather is natural.

 

Genuine leather absorbs moisture. If you sprinkle drops of water on it, it will absorb almost immediately. If you do this on faux leather, the water will remain on the surface.
